According to the changes made to the requirements for obtaining a driving licence, you will no longer be required to take any type of driving test by visiting an RTO. The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has notified these rules, and they have also gone into effect. They are now on the RTO waiting list for a driving licence, so this will be a huge relief.

Driving school and training are required.

According to the ministry’s information, you will no longer have to wait for the RTO test to obtain a driver’s licence. You can register for a driver’s licence at any recognised driving training school. They will be required to attend Driving Training School and pass the exam there before receiving a certificate from the school. The applicant’s driving licence will be issued based on this certificate.

What are the new regulations?

1. The Ministry of Road and Transport also has specific guidelines and regulations for training centres. This encompasses everything from training centres to trainer education. Let’s get this straight.
2. The authorised agency must ensure that training centres for two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and light motor vehicles have at least one acre of land, whereas centres for medium and heavy passenger goods vehicles or trailers must have two acres.
3. The trainer should have at least a 12th class pass, at least five years of driving experience, and be well knowledgeable in traffic rules.
4. A teaching curriculum has also been prescribed by the government. The course for driving light motor vehicles will run no more than four weeks and up to 29 hours. The curriculum for these driving schools will be divided into two parts. Theoretical and practical.
5. People must devote 21 hours to learning to drive on basic roads, rural roads, highways, city streets, reversing and parking, uphill and downhill driving, and so on. The theory portion of the course will last 8 hours and will cover topics such as road etiquette, road rage, traffic education, accident causes, first aid, and driving fuel efficiency.
