Harbhajan Singh has attributed Pakistan’s one-run loss to South Africa in the ICC World Cup 2023 to poor umpiring and regulations.

For the benefit of the game, he pleaded with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to alter the umpire’s call rule.

Following DRS’s display of the umpire’s call, Pakistan lost the third umpire decision. The on-field umpire declared Tabraiz Shamsi not out, and the Men in Green chose to use the Decision Review System.

But the technology was not on their side, and Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj scored an additional 11 runs to put the Proteas ahead in the match.

In response to the encounter’s outcome, Bhajji took Pakistan’s side.

“This game was lost by Pakistan due to poor umpiring and bad rules. The ICC should change this rule. If the ball hits a stump, it is out regardless of whether the umpire calls it out or not. Otherwise, what good is technology? On X, he wrote, “@TheRealPCB vs. #SouthAfrica #worldcup.”
