Pakistan in their last World Cup match against England at Eden Gardens could not chase the target of 338 runs and were bowled on 244 runs in 43.3 overs. Pakistan lost the game by 93 runs to England.
In everyone’s view Babar Azam was a failure as a Captain of the team and also as a player because he didn’t play any match winning inning in this tournament.
There are Reports that Babar Azam could be dismissed from the Captaincy after reaching Pakistan. Shaheen Shah Afridi might be the one to lead the team in the white-ball cricket in future.
Though, Babar will step down after reaching Pakistan If his hint is to be believed.
In the post match presentation Babar was asked that if he would like to lead the team in rebuilding.
Babar gave a different answer to this question. He didn’t say yes rather he said that I will always help the team with my experience that I have .
