Navigating the Jammu and Kashmir Social Welfare Department’s Online Application Process

The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board has issued a notification (No. 02 of 2023 dated 08.12.2023) inviting applications for 201 Supervisor positions in the Social Welfare Department. Here’s a step-by-step guide to submitting your application successfully via the online portal:

1. Application Period Online

The application period runs from December 15, 2023 to January 14, 2024.

2. Method of Application

Apply online at JKSSB’s website (www.jkssb.nic.in). Other modes of application will not be considered.

3. The Registration Procedure

• To register on the portal, click the ‘Log-in’ tab.
• For OTP-based verification, enter a valid email address and mobile phone number.

3. Submission of an Application

• Once registered, go to the ‘Apply’ tab to access the application form.
• Fill in all required fields with correct information.
• To proceed, click ‘SAVE & CONTINUE’.

Upload of Photographs and Signatures

• Include a recent passport-size photograph (20 KB to 50 KB, Height X Width=4.5X3.5 Cms).
• Attach your signature (10 KB to 20 KB, Height X Width=1.5X3.5 Cms).

• Before final submission, double-check that all information is correct.
• Candidate is responsible for accuracy; no claims will be accepted for incorrect or incomplete information.
• Only with a valid certificate will you be eligible for category-related benefits.

1. Cancellation and Editing

• The application cannot be edited once it has been submitted.
• Cancel an application that was incorrectly filled out before the deadline; fees are non-refundable.

8. Payment of Fees

• Pay the application fee with a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
• Following the completion of the form, a “Pay Now” link appears.
• When a fee is successfully submitted, an application ID is generated.

8. There will be no hard copy submissions.

• There is no need to submit a hard copy or printout of the application, except for shortlisted candidates during Document Verification (DV).
