The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has recently made public an important announcement about the preliminary selection list of several courses for the 2023 academic year. This notification marks an important turning point in the admissions process for multiple courses. It is referred to as Notification No. 063-BOPEE of 2023 dated 20.08.2023, and is followed by Notification No. 086-BOPEE of 2023 dated 24.09. 2023.
Prior to this, the board had issued notice that seats in the Children of Defence Personnel (CDP) Category would be distributed to qualified applicants based on their submission of valid Priority Certificates. Consequently, the Competent Authority’s CDP Priority Certificates had to be submitted by qualified applicants. The board has released the provisional selection list for candidates under the CDP category, following the completion of the submission process. These candidates are eligible to be admitted to B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Pam-Medical, and B.Sc. Technology courses for the academic year 2023 in both government and private colleges/institutions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Department of Social Welfare, Government of J&K, released S.0 277 of 2021 on August 13, 2021, which outlines the priorities. This is how the selection was made. This is based on the choices that the candidates made during the online counselling process and is in accordance with communication F.No. 6(1)/2017/D (Res. 11) dated May 21, 2018 from the Government of India, Ministry of Defence, Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare.
