All speculation regarding the results of the Class 11 Bi-Annual exams 2023 in the Kashmir division has been officially ended by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) today. In August and September, 25,557 students from different examination centres in Kashmir took part in the exams.
Overview of JKBOSE Passing Percentage
A total of 35% of candidates passed the exam, with 6,929 out of the total candidates clearing the exams. It is noteworthy that female students have performed better than male students, with a pass percentage of 46% compared to 27% for boys. This pattern emphasises how well female students consistently perform.
JKBOSE 11th Grade Passing Ratio for Arts
15,576 students in the Arts stream took the exams; 4,983 of them passed, yielding a pass percentage of 32%. 711 out of 1,498 students who appeared in the Science stream passed, yielding a 46% pass rate. Out of 396 students, 224 passed the exams in the Commerce stream, which had the highest pass percentage of 57%.
The percentage of JKBOSE 11th Vocational Subject Passing
Vocational subjects performed exceptionally well, with pass rates ranging from 74% to an astounding 100%. Nearly all students passed in subjects like IT, healthcare, retail, automotive, beauty, and wellness. Academic subjects with the highest pass rates were Business Mathematics (95%), Geology (92%), and other subjects.
Ranking of JKBOSE 11th Class Results
15% of students received a distinction, 11% a first division, 21% a second division, and 3% a third division upon division examination. A total of 40,054 students, or about 60% of the student body, will have to retake the exam; 2,043 students were absent, and 3,072 students sadly failed it.
These twice-yearly exams are arranged by JKBOSE to give students a chance to improve their academic standing. Students’ reactions to the results are mixed; happiness comes to those who achieved, and disappointment comes to those who did not. The Class 11 exams are a crucial turning point in students’ academic careers because they provide a path forward for those who pass and a reminder to reappear for those who need to focus more.
