Rachin Ravindras Father Said That His Name Has Nothing To Do With Rahul Dravid And Sachin Tendulkar

New Zealand’s young player Rachin Ravindra has emerged as a great player in this World Cup. He made his impact in this World Cup by scoring 565 runs in nine innings followed by three centuries and he is the third highest scorer of the tournament. He has becomes a crucial target for Indian bowlers as India is facing New Zealand in the semi-final.

It is believed that his name is a combination of Rahul Dravid and Sachin Tendulkar, His father clarified that the name wasn’t derived intentionally from the cricket legends.

He added “When Rachin was born his mother gave him the name and we agreed to it because it was short and felt good and was easy to spell. Later we realised it that unintentionally is was combination of Rahul Dravid’s and Sachin Tendulkar’s name. It wasn’t our dream to groom our child a cricketer or anything like that.
