The Pakistani side’s relations with PCB are at an all-time low after PCB chairman Zaka Ashraf disclosed on live TV on Monday, October 30, a private WhatsApp conversation between Babar Azam and PCB’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer.
There were rumours circulating a few days ago that Zaka Ashraf was ignoring Babar Azam’s calls and texts. The PCB took this action in response to these reports, and it has since come under fire. This is the WhatsApp message leak video.

Waqar Younis had earlier criticised this action, and in the most recent development, Shahid Afridi had vented his frustration to Zaka Ashraf, calling it a pitiful gesture on his part.
It’s a pitiful action. It is quite tragic if Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the PCB, carried out the action. How is it possible to reveal someone’s private messages? Captain Babar Azam’s, specifically. Our players are being defamed by the board.
“I saw Rashid Latif reporting that Babar Azam and Zaka Ashraf are at odds. It was inappropriate to respond to those reports in this manner. Why was it brought up by Shoaib Jatt? Did the chairman request that he do this? Afridi stated.
Pakistan’s cricket team is facing harsh criticism because they are about to lose the tournament and have only won two of their six games.
